What’s the role?

Our Japan business is growing exponentially, come join us and be part of a dynamic team that is making history! At Bloomberg, you will work with the largest global financial corporations and the sharpest minds in the industry! The AIM Implementation Team is responsible for solution design and delivery of Order Management, Post Trade, Compliance, and Research Management solutions for Bloomberg’s Buy-Side customers. We are on the lookout for a high performing individual who has a track record of navigating large & complex engagements with clients primarily based in Japan.

An individual selected for this position will lead high profile initiatives that require team members to have senior level exposure and play an active role in the transformation of investment organizations. The team leads engagements across both institutional and retail assignments. A typical implementation is as much about processes and implementing change as it is about investments & technology.

We are a team with wide and varied stack, but we’re particularly interested in meeting people who have a deep understanding of the investment life cycle and have at least 5 years of proven experience leading enterprise-wide digital transformation with investment technology solutions such as order management systems, risk platforms, or electronic trading platforms. You must also have excellent communication and presentation skills; an ability to convey sophisticated concepts simply and clearly to clients will be highly valued.

You’ll need to have:

  • Minimum 5 years of enterprise implementation experience, preferably with Order Management, Compliance or Electronic Trading systems for Japanese clients

  • Market knowledge on how various asset classes (i.e., Fixed Income, Equity, Alternatives) are traded in Japan from Front-to-Back

  • Project management experience, ideally at a large enterprise in the financial industry

  • Deep knowledge of workflows across portfolio management, order management, trading, compliance, and operations for institutional investment managers

  • Ability to work across multiple teams and departments, both with internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong attention to detail, willing to take proactive action, and desire to roll up sleeves

  • Ability to run project related meetings with proficiency in both Japanese and English

  • Ability to navigate and organize complex client requirements to clearly define project milestones and timelines with a high degree of confidence and credibility

  • Experience working closely with Product Managers to support client development needs

  • Ability to travel periodically, including international project opportunities across APAC

We’d love to see

  • Project management experience (e.g., PMP) and experience using project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, etc.

  • Experience with platform integrations (e.g., interfaces, APIs)

  • MBA, CFA, or FRM qualifications

  • Knowledge of buy-side industry trends and standard methodologies for workflows and technology stacks

If any of this excites you, we want to talk to you! In the meantime, feel free to have a look at this: https://www.bloomberg.com/professional/products/trading/order-management-system/aim/
