What's the role?

The Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) is a global coalition of financial institutions committed to accelerating the decarbonization of the economy in line with governments' commitments under the Paris Agreement. Over 550 financial institutions from 50 jurisdictions have committed to the goal of net zero by 2050, in line with science-based pathways to limit warming to 1.5 degrees C. GFANZ was established in 2021 as a forum for delivering sector-wide solutions for net-zero transition, helping to ensure high levels of ambition are met with credible action that support transition globally. We are looking for a Climate Finance Secretariat Lead to provide strategic and operational support to our team. This role will coordinate and execute key initiatives that enable the growth and success of the GFANZ Secretariat.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Manage special projects aligned with the strategic priorities of the GFANZ Secretariat and leadership team

  • Work across the Secretariat to keep the team on task by tracking relevant activities, goals, deadlines, and milestones, and help reallocate staff and resources as necessary to meet the needs of the team

  • Coordinate operational processes necessary to keep the team running smoothly including through close collaboration with legal, procurement, finance and other departments

  • Prepare written materials and presentations for a variety of audiences such as the GFANZ governance bodies, GFANZ leadership team, and other partners

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

You’ll need to have:

  • 4-8 years of work experience in finance, consulting, or the public sector, ideally with exposure to climate finance, the energy transition, or global public policy

  • Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

  • Exceptional writing and slide creation skills with proven experience preparing clear, concise communication across multiple mediums

  • A strong team player, able to work constructively and collaboratively across internal and external stakeholders

  • Flexible mindset with the willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities as they arise

Salary Range: 140,000 - 180,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
