Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is growing its global footprint and reach through new innovations from Quicktake to New Economy Forum.

The Creative Development team is responsible for developing the initial creative approach to all content across Bloomberg Originals platforms. Together, this team is responsible for supervising all aspects of creative development for Bloomberg Originals. We are seeking a Development Producer to conceptualize and produce presentations, digital shorts, and sizzles. This role requires sharp attention to detail, meticulous organizational skills, and a passion for storytelling.

Candidates should possess technical and creative skills and demonstrable proficiency in shooting and editing—previous experience in developing and producing unscripted content is ideal.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Research series ideas and flesh out concepts based on talent, articles, or IP

  • Produce, shoot and edit projects in the development pipeline. Support other departments with content needs.

  • Travel required for some filming

  • Work with talent bookers, producers, and directors as needed.

  • Collaborate with our operations team to effectively create accurate estimates for projects, manage production budgets, monitor post-production processes, and track deliverables.

  • Identify and source third party/archival footage as needed

You’ll need to have:

  • 7+ years experience in unscripted/documentary television development and production

  • Experience operating cameras, lighting equipment, audio, and editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro). Can shoot and edit sizzles, rip reels and development presentations

  • Able to work well in a team environment and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners and suppliers and ensure all necessary parties are kept up to date

  • Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

  • A self-starter who can take direction, working both independently and collaboratively as necessary, communicating regularly and effectively development team

  • Strong research skills and a deep understanding of what makes a compelling story

  • Experience working with talent. Able to produce and direct talent for studio and field shoots
