Bloomberg Intelligence Middle East & Africa Fixed Income Research Strategist

Bloomberg Intelligence ("BI") is looking for a fixed income strategist to cover the Middle East & Africa region as a complement to its broader emerging market strategy offering within the growing fixed income, currency & commodity research business.

The strategist will work closely with the global interest rate and foreign exchange strategy teams, as well as partners within the Bloomberg ecosystem, to generate qualitative and quantitative research for Bloomberg’s global user base. Candidates must be strong communicators, adept at data management, curation, and derivation, and have a firm understanding of regional debt markets as well as the Bloomberg terminal.

Requisite experience and skills:

• A minimum of 7 years professional experience analyzing and / or trading the asset class

• Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

• Independent thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset

• Ability to develop professional and collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues

• Familiarity with Bloomberg data and the Bloomberg family of indices

• Bachelor's Degree, with CFA designation or MBA preferred

• Strong knowledge of the Bloomberg Terminal

• Strong Excel and / or python programming skills

Bloomberg Intelligence coverage spans company and credit research at the single-name and strategy level, while also addressing litigation, regulatory and environmental, social, and governance issuers confronting publicly and privately listed companies.
